Meet Your Yoga Adventure Leaders!

Mike Rudd:
Mike is an Outdoor Adventurer and Yoga/Hiking Guide. He’s lived in Old Town Cottonwood, Tucson, and Phoenix and also in a van from Tucson to the Utah border while hiking the 800 mile Arizona Trail. He loves the desert energy, people, critters, red rocks, and cuisines of Sedona and is pumped to share these with you. He’s hiked Rim to Rim in the Grand Canyon and Rim to River to Rim 4x.
He’s hosted yoga adventures in Joshua Tree California, Tucson Arizona, Page Arizona, and is a regular teacher at several yoga studios around the US in addition to putting together his own experiences (like this one!)
He has been a volunteer cook with a retired Michelin Chef at the Old Town Cottonwood Mission, he loves an early morning coffee in Oak Creek Canyon, he has hiked the Lime Kiln Trail from Cottonwood to Sedona, and he once rescued a lost family in dark near the Cathedral Rock trail in Sedona and returned them to their hotel safely!
Mike also works on sustainable vegetable farms, has run a food cart on THE Ohio State University, written several books and hundreds of outdoor adventure articles, and loves volunteering at animal shelters, soup kitchens, food banks, and in the field with land conservation organizations.

Sarah Joy:

Jill Grosenheider-Rudd:
Jill will be your on-site cook, she has done this before on our group adventures in Joshua Tree, Tucson, and Page and recently graduated from a cooking program at the Arizona Culinary Institute.
When not preparing our meals you might hear her on a Zoom Meeting working with Alzheimer’s Association and other nonprofits around the US as a fundraising contractor. She loves the hikes, vortexes, and Thai soups of Sedona. (That’s a story for on-site!)

Cotopaxi:
Mike and Jill have a dog named Cotopaxi who is a 30ish pound Golden Doodle who will be on-site with us. He might tag along for some of the adventures or he might lounge at the venue during the day. If being around dogs isn’t your thing this isn’t a group adventure meant for you unfortunately!
