What?
Yoga, Meditation, Kayaking, The North Rim of the Grand Canyon, The Longest Slot Canyon in the World, Volunteering, and more…all in and around the town of Page Arizona!
Why?
Our basecamp will be at Roam Horseshoe Bend in Page Arizona and our accommodations will feature indoor cabins with bed and bathrooms, cooked campfire meals, yoga/slot canyon hikes/kayaking, AND a trip to the North Rim area of Grand Canyon National Park!
There is a heated pool, cafe, laundry, and several outdoor patios and spaces on-site, plus platforms and dining areas for us to enjoy our 2x/day yoga practices and group camping meals before and after each day of adventuring in Northern Arizona!
I’ve spent a lot of time in Page and I find a new adventure every time we hang out here. This town was built after the land was granted from the Navajo Nation and the US government dammed Glen Canyon in the late 1950s. A controversial birth to say the least. It’s now home to outdoor adventures galore and near epic spots such as Grand Canyon National Park, Waterhole Canyon, Buckskin Gulch, Lees Ferry, The Wave, and more! Cameron, Jill, and I are energized by the desert and this will be an outstanding time of the year for us to get our blood pumping, enjoy a glamping setup at Roam Horseshoe Bend, and have unforgettable experiences in my favorite US National Park (The Grand Canyon), on the water, near the river, up slot canyons, and at the campfire at Roam!
Who Else and When?
Cameron Bourne and I will be your co-hosts on this outdoor adventure. Cameron is a certified personal fitness trainer, yoga teacher, PCT Thru-Hike Finisher, and legendary amateur rock climber.
Jill G will be preparing fresh and healthy “campfire breakfasts and dinners” each day on-site from the grill. This will be more of a glamping/cabin style meal experience and you should be prepared for that, if you have questions just let us know! We’ll have indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy our meals together in community as we prepare and celebrate the beginning and end of each day as a group.

Where?
As mentioned we’ll be exploring Northern Arizona with Page as our basecamp. The North Rim of the Grand Canyon is isolated high elevation wilderness and lightly visited (compared to the South Rim) and we’ll experience it with Lees Ferry where many an adventure has began down the Colorado River. We’ll be doing a afternoon of stewardship for a local non-profit. We’ll get Navajo Tacos, enjoy the vibes at the Grand Canyon Brewery, and adventure each day to some of the wildest sand and rock formations the Earth has ever made. Then we’ll be back for relaxing yoga, campfire meals, and time in the heated pool at Roam Horseshoe Bend. If you like to feel like you are on a visit to another planet this might be for you! We will go with a local Navajo guide to Waterhole Canyon, local backcountry experts that guide hikes in Buckskin Gulch, and let the chefs at Lake Powell Deli show us their Italian food expertise!

Meet Your Adventure Leaders!
Mike Rudd:
Mike is an Outdoor Adventurer and Yoga/Hiking Guide. He’s lived in Southern and Central Arizona and also in a van from Tucson to the Utah border while hiking the 800 mile Arizona Trail. He loves the desert energy, people, critters, and cuisines of Tucson and Page and is pumped to share these with you. He’s hiked Rim to Rim in the Grand Canyon and Rim to River to Rim 4x. He’s stayed in a van in Page two different times and does a different slot canyon hike every time he is there.
He’s guided groups in the desert of Southern California and is a regular teacher at several yoga studios around the US in addition to putting together his own experiences (like this one!)
Mike also works on sustainable vegetable farms, has run a food cart on THE Ohio State University, written several books and hundreds of outdoor adventure articles, and loves volunteering at animal shelters, soup kitchens, food banks, and in the field with land conservation organizations.
Cameron Bourne:
Cameron is a passionate and adventurous yoga instructor with a 200-hour RYT certification and has a background as a certified personal trainer. She brings a dynamic blend of strength, flexibility, and mindfulness to her classes. When she's not on the mat, Cameron can be found rock climbing, mountain biking, or chasing new trails. An avid outdoorswoman, she thru-hiked the Pacific Crest Trail in 2017, earning the trail name "Fly Trap" after an unexpected encounter with a ladybug during a challenging water carry. Cameron’s classes are inspired by her own journey—rooted in adventure, growth, and a deep connection to the natural world. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a newcomer, Cameron is dedicated to guiding you through a practice that meets you where you are, encourages exploration, and cultivates inner strength and peace.
Jill Grosenheider-Rudd:
Jill will be your on-site cook, she has done this before on our group adventures in Southern California and is attending the Arizona Culinary Institute in 2026!
When not preparing our meals you might hear her on a Zoom Meeting working with Alzheimer’s Association and other nonprofits around the US as a fundraising contractor. She loves the hikes, people, and especially the taqueria’s of Tucson and the Navajo Tacos of Page.
Cotopaxi:
Mike and Jill have a dog named Cotopaxi who is a 30ish pound Golden Doodle who will be on-site with us. He might tag along for some of the adventures or he might lounge at Solana during the day. He will be around and the Villas are pet friendly so other dogs/cats/birds (yes we met a parrot one time while staying here!) will possibly be on-site. If possibly being near dogs isn’t your thing this isn’t a group adventure meant for you unfortunately! If you’d like to bring your furbaby with you this is possible. There is an additional pet fee and recommended rover you can hire for your dog during the day while we are out on our adventures in Tucson. And the cabins in Page are dog friendly too!
